a season for laughs

Theater subscription? Check. Megan and I have been talking about getting a subscription since her 30 by 30, I think. We've gone back and forth about whether to commit to the classics or something edgier. There's a good deal of both in the city, and several companies offer really reasonable rates. The Shakespeare theater offers a discounted subscription for people under 35, but that will have to wait for next year, because we bought a subscription to Woolly Mammoth at the end of March. I love the Woolly Mammoth theater. It's just a few blocks from my office, so I can walk over after work, and the performance space is just the right size. They perform mostly new plays, some serious, some comical, and some very dark satire. And they support local artists. I've enjoyed everything I've seen there, and I can't wait for the new season to start this fall.
